Dear Enrique,

Thank you for contacting our organization and for your passion to help children. The only true solution to this problem is education through public and family awareness. Registering and monitoring predators are only pieces of the puzzle because the number of predators our on our streets is astronomically larger than those we know about. According to the US department of justice, there are over 603,000 registered predators in our nation. The Attorney General’s office states that that is only 10% of those who are harming children which means 90% or over 7 million are going about undetected. You can’t monitor those who have never been caught, but you can place a shield of protection in the form of knowledge and empowerment around a predator’s intended target… the children. If we arm our nations’ children with the message of what behavior to look for, then if they are ever approached in their lifetime they will know how to react. This is what our safety educational materials do. We try to get grants and sponsorships to give away these materials in the form of DVD/activity book combo sets. Jacqueline Cooper, our Executive Director, will coordinate with you to try to find sponsorship to get you materials to give away at your events.
